Plastic strap has replaced steel strap in many areas. It is cheaper, lighter, does not corrode and does not react with the surface of the packages. Above all, it has excellent elongation properties.

TITAN offers various plastic strap qualities from own production, which are perfectly matched to the strapping devices. PP Polypropylene strapping has the lowest values in terms of tensile strength, but the highest values in terms of strain (about 20%).

PET tape has tensile strength values approximately twice as high as the PP strap at the same size, the elongation at break is somewhat lower. You have to choose depending on the application whether you opt for the weather-resistant, dimensionally stable PET strap or for PP, the affordable all-rounder.
